Wouldn't it be great if someone with skills could re-create the Horizons ride using one of the 1st-person 3d engines of today? EPCOT Center is the sole exception to this. I find that I enjoy the classic EPCOT stuff more now than I did then (and when I was a kid I wanted to live in the Horizons pavilion)David Landonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12909440700102911571noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23143199.post-62270075013796594742009-04-04T22:03:00.000-07:002009-04-04T22:03:00.000-07:00Very nice. It never ceases to astound me how, even over a decade after the attraction closed, Horizons remains so fresh in people's imaginations and is still celebrated in such a variety of ways.

The point has been made before on this and other blogs, but when I see labors of love like Shane's site I have to wonder whether we'll see anything like this level of passion ten years after Mission: Space closes (and M:S, as much as I dislike it, is one of the better WDI endeavors of recent years...I could have asked the same question of the Monsters Inc. Laugh Factory, yikes...)Stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06498320232843917400noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23143199.post-24324086664450917842009-04-04T19:23:00.000-07:002009-04-04T19:23:00.000-07:00Awesome!Awesome!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-23143199.post-34450180885988149432009-04-04T18:42:00.000-07:002009-04-04T18:42:00.000-07:00Nice work. As someone who somehow never went to Horizons even though I visited (and always loved) EPCOT several times between 1994 and the closing of Horizons, I appreciate this little sample of the atmosphere.

Back then, nobody ever pointed Horizons out to me. No cast member ever recommended it. I rode World of Motion several times, but never Horizons. Sigh.St. Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05621354179287251576noreply@blogger.com
